Privacy statement

Short version: this site works without an account, without advertising cookies, and what you type into the tools never leaves your browser. One exception, entirely voluntary: if you accept notifications, you also receive advertising from our partner, as explained below.

Calculators

The requirement calculator and the portion selectors run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter (age, height, weight) is sent to a server or stored.

Server logs

As on any website, the host technically records incoming requests: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type. These logs serve only security and fault diagnosis, are not used to profile you, and are kept for a limited period before automatic deletion.

The Cloudflare network

All traffic passes through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which caches the site, encrypts the connection and filters attacks. Cloudflare therefore necessarily processes your IP address and the technical metadata of your request, and may set a strictly technical security cookie. This is not used for advertising and does not follow you from site to site.

Turnstile on the newsletter form

The sign-up form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes a human visitor from an automated program by analysing technical signals from your browser. It does not analyse what you type, serves no advertising targeting and sets no tracking cookie. A single-use token is issued and then verified by our server with Cloudflare.

Audience measurement

Traffic is measured without any persistent identifier or tracking cookie (aggregated, anonymous statistics). No usage data is combined with third-party sources or passed on for advertising. This remains true even if you accept notifications: the push subscription described below is separate from audience measurement, and no browsing data is attached to it.

Push notifications and advertising

This section concerns only people who expressly accept notifications. Reading this site triggers none of it, and without acceptance no script from our partner is loaded.

If you accept in the panel and then grant permission to your browser, a push subscription is stored on your device. It contains neither email address nor name: it consists of a technical identifier, the browser and the operating system. These are passed to Adrenalead SAS (France), which operates the Notifadz platform.

Through this subscription you will receive two kinds of message: ours, when the official data is updated or an article appears, and advertising messages from Adrenalead, on average five to eight a day. We do not choose their content, we do not review it beforehand, and it is not a recommendation from us.

This subscription is separate from the newsletter: accepting one does not sign you up for the other, and no email address passes between them. No health data is collected, inferred or used for this targeting. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason and as easily as you gave it: in your browser settings, under “notifications”, remove the permission granted to this site. The subscription ends immediately.

Your answer in the panel is kept on your device, in the browser’s local storage, as a single entry meaning “accepted” or “declined”. It contains no identifier, is never transmitted, and serves only to avoid asking you again. Clearing your browsing data removes it.

Newsletter

This section concerns only people who sign up, and only the email address they provide when doing so. Simply reading the site triggers none of these uses.

By ticking the sign-up box you agree that your address may be used for the newsletter and for advertising communications from the health and nutrition sector aimed at the Swiss market, including retargeting: the address may be passed in hashed, non-reversible form to advertising platforms in order to build audiences or exclude people from them. Those platforms may process the data outside Switzerland, under appropriate contractual safeguards. The address is never sold.

No health status is collected, inferred or used for this targeting. Addresses are held on the publisher’s server, outside the web root, until you unsubscribe. You may withdraw your consent at any time, through the unsubscribe link or on request: this ends all these uses and deletes the address.

Processors

Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland) for hosting, and Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) for delivery, protection and Turnstile. In addition, Adrenalead SAS (France), which operates the Notifadz platform, solely for people who accept notifications. No other recipients, apart from the advertising platforms mentioned above and only for newsletter subscribers.

Transfers outside Switzerland

Using Cloudflare entails processing outside Switzerland, in particular in the United States. If you accept notifications, the push subscription is additionally processed in France by Adrenalead SAS. These transfers rely on appropriate contractual safeguards, in line with Swiss data protection law; France is moreover covered by an adequacy recognition.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time: [email protected]. You may also refer the matter to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Security and records

Traffic to the site is encrypted. Newsletter addresses are stored outside the web root with restricted access. The publisher maintains a record of processing activities. This statement is available in the four languages of the site and may be amended; the version published online prevails.
